THE BEST TRIP EVER!!!

Jordan and I had the best trip to Arizona EVER! It was so much fun. We got to go to the grand canyon, spend time with our cousins, go bowling, eat out, swim, mini golf, play monopoly, hang out with our grandparents, and so much more. I am so glad I braved the plane and went. It was the best trip ever. Of course, coming home to the cold, snowy atmosphere of Colorado wasn't that fun. Thankfully, when we had a bad blizard in Colorado, we were still in Arizona. It was hard to think of a blizard when we were in that heat!

Operation 2.0 : Jordan and I are Heading to Arizona!

So the coolest thing is happening! Jordan and I are going to Arizona for a full week over Spring Break! I am soo excited, though a little scared about the plane. Jordan and I are going to get on a plane all by ourselves, and travel to Arizona to visit grandma and grandpa. It's going to be sooo much fun. We are leaving soon: March 24! And we're coming home March 31. Suckingly, I am going to miss my other grandma's visit. But she's coming back in May, so I decided I am still going to go anyway. I can't wait for the palm trees, swimming pools, and heat!

Fixing Things With Caity

Last Friday, Caity started saying some really mean things about Meghann. I totally yelled at her and got down her throat about it. Of course, she started crying...and I started crying because I thought that I was going to get in trouble...again, because of her. Eventually, we all got together and worked things out for the best. So, things with Caity are OK now, though I still don't like her.

Catching Up on Things...

Hello, Blogworld! Sorry that I haven't written for a while. Things are CRAZY around here...still, I haven't had much to write about. Here's an update on what HAS been going on....

SCHOOL

School is going fairly well. I am doing okay in Geography [my worst subject], but great in Math, Science, and Language Arts. We just finished third quarter, which I can't believe. The year is going by sooo fast. I can't even believe it. I am scared to go onto eight grade, and even more so high school. But with the wonderful friends I have, I know it's gonna be okay.

PLAY

I am in the school play, Hotel Escargot, which we will be performing in late April. I play Rhonda Jo Derrick, a wealthy texan with a hilarious husband. I have all my lines memorized, so it's all good. Costuming has been a slight issue, but it's moving along. I am proud of myself, because my character is very important to the story.
For fourth quarter, I have Drama, also. So it'll help me with the play.

FRIENDS

Priya, Ashley, Meghann, and I have never been closer. I love having them all as friends, ESPECIALLY since we ALL get along well. We're all friends, which makes everything work better. We all laugh at the stupidist things, and it seems they're only funny to us, but OH WELL!

PROBLEMS

The biggest issues that are going on in my life include a girl named Caity, and my used-to-be friend, Isi.
Caity is a wierd, bratty girl my friends and I don't get along with at all. She's mean, a compulsive liar, and a brat. I wish we could get along, and believe me, we've tried, but she's such a mean person that we just can't work things out. Sure, we've done stuff to her that probably wasn't nice, but she over reacts, and it's all in retaliation to what SHE does to us. The annoying, ugly faces she makes, the name calling, the eye rolling, the yelling at us, the telling on us for the stupidist things. She really needs to grow up and get a life. Recently, her mom threatened Meghann. I wish things wern't so bad between us. Isabel, [only her friends call her Isi, which I am no longer] hates me. I went to her birthday party in late Febuary. EVERYONE was fighting, not feeling good, and having issues. The biggest arguement happened when I became a little grumpy. At the time of the party, alot was going on. I was getting over the sickness I had recently, [which, I discovered, wasn't over] my brother had just gotten out of the hospital, I didn't know anyone there, and Jordan had decided not to come like I had planned. We were playing a trivia game, and everyone thought I was getting upset. I wasn't. I was a little grumpy, tired, and dizzy, though. I turned to grab my pillow. My team mate, Mckenzie, asked me where I was going. I said nowhere, and laid down. Isi started being rude. EVENTUALLY, I got isolated to this one room by myself, where stupid Lizzie made faces and called me names. I left at 5:00 im the morning, puking. Guess that I wasn't...OVER THE SICKNESS! So yeah...she still hates me.

PRESTON

Preston is home! And safe, happy, and back to hiself.

Emmett Till Presentation

Today, a speaker came to our school and presented a story to us...the story of Emmett Till. I don't feel like typing it out right now, but basically, this fourteen year old boy is killed because he is black...and flirted with a white woman. You should look up the story and pictures...you won't believe it.

But, it was presented by a famous baseball player. He did sooo well. He was soooo detailed, and knew everything, it seemed, on the subject. Dates, names, numbers...all that junk.

SEARCH EMMETT TILL ON GOOGLE IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHO HE IS! HE IS THE GUY WHO MADE ROSA PARKS NOT GET UP ON THAT BUS!

Grandma's Going Home!

Early this morning, Grandma left to go to the airport. I was sooo very greatful to have her down with us. I think she lifted all our spirits a little bit. We did so much fun stuff. We went for ice cream, dinner. I was soo glad to have her down. Thankfully, she's comming back down in 3 and 1/2 months.

Preston in the Hospital - Day 4 & 5

Well, I guess that he's doing better on the fourth day. I didn't visit him at all. But, I hear he's doing great!

On day five, I visited him. It's also my grandma's last day here in Colorado. He's doing sooo much batter, and acting like himself finally. I am sooo greatful. And happy. HAPPY AND GREATFUL! Not much to write about though, because he has nothing atatched to him.

TONS of Cleaning Today!

My mom came home with the news that Preston maybe able to come home tomorrow, and that he's no longer in the intensive care unit! That's great and everything, but it increased our cleaning to do list today. Not only are we going to do our garage, were working on Preston's room, too. Which is disgusting! Dishes everywhere, moldy food, old candy stuck to the carpet, and that horrible SMELL! Luckily, I got stuck with washing all the dishes that come from the room. Although I have to scrub all the goopy crap off of them, I still don't have to smell that horrible smell, and detach the old food and candy from the carpet.

It's way outta line. I mean, if my parents would just make us sit at the table, their wouldn't be food and dishes in there. That's HALF the mess! My grandma throws away EVERYTHING, though, so I gotta make sure that she doesn't throw away toys-depending on what she throws away, it could make Preston really upset. Which, we totally don't need right now. She already tried to take his favorite chair to the dump! My mom, luckily was here for a few more minutes to stop her.

My uncle is picking up the truck from his work. Once that's here, we are going to put all the trash from the room into it, then were going to go to lunch. When we get back, though...that's the garage!

UHHHH!

My AWESOME Cousin...Sharing the Wealth of Cleaning.

My cousin will be sharing the wonderful wealth of cleaning tomorrow. We are cleaning the garage. I am sooo happy, cuz she laughed at me when I told her about cleaning the kitchen...now she gets to share the awesomical wealth...WEE! But, grandma says it won't take as long, because we are only getting rid of trash. If we do a good job, she'll take us to lunch before we visit Preston.

HERE'S ME AND MY COUSI!!

My grandma...the NEAT FREAK!

My grandma is down here, seeing Preston and staying with me while he's in the hospital. Today, mom let me skip school to stay home and help her clean. Which, at the time, I thought was a pretty good deal. Until we actually started doing it. She said we had to clean all the baseboards, scrub the entire kitchen floor with a wash cloth, and dust everything. And from 8:45 am to 5:00 pm, we cleaned ONLY the kitchen. Part of me is happy we did it. I mean, it does feel nicer to be in this kitchen, typing on this computer, right now. I cleaned out the entire pantry, and it looks much neater and cleaner. But my other grandma is WAY worse...can't wait till May. That's when she's coming. Sky

Preston in the Hospital - Day 3

Today, I saw Preston again. He is deffinatly getting better. He is now awake, and they are preparing, right this second, to take out his breathing tube. When I saw him, I said, "Hi, Preston. It's Sky." I was sooo happy, cuz he was able to wave at me. When I saw him, he still had his breathing tube, so he couldn't talk. He was soo cute. He wanted his glasses, so he pointed to his eyes. His hands were strapped to the bed so that he couldn't pull out the tube. He was shaking so bad. He answered most of our questions, like "Are you feeling okay?" And, "I love you. Do you love me to?" And,
"We want you to come home. Do you want to come home?" by shaking his head.

I am sooo glad he is getting much, much better. I am still awaiting news on how the taking out the breathing tube is going.

P.S. Again, these pictures are from the last time he was in the hospital.

My Crazy Pets!

My pets are soo funny! I decided I would talk about them a little bit here on my blog.

First, there is the cats. Polar and Panda. They are soo funny-and the complete opposites of each other! Panda, as you may have guessed, is black and white. She has some weird kind of disorder, and she's sort of jumpy. But she is very sweet! Polar Bear is white and grey. He is very friendly, but pretty shy. When ever a stranger comes, he hides in the basement. You can rub his stomach, mess with his paws, hug him, anything, and he doesn't care.

Second, my dogs. There is Sampson and Quila [pernounced keyla]. Quila is Sampson's mom. She is very cute and friendly, but rather a very fat dog. I have had her since I was 2 years old. Sampson since I was 4 or 5. Sampson is a very doppy, playful dog. Like, if you run down the hallway, he'll follow you. He always wants the leftovers from dinner, so we have to set them by Quila, cuz he's a pretty greedy dog!

And last, my guinea pig. Her name is Sunset. She is very sweet and cuddly. She likes to lay in your lap. I've had her for about 3 years. I used to have 2 others, but they died from colds. Recently, Sunset developed bumble foot. [A swelling of the foot, with a little scab on the bottom. Rodents and birds can get it.] I guess, sometime ago, she cut her foot on something in her cage, and it got infected. Luckily, we got her some medicine and she's doing much better. I don't think it'll kill her at all.

I have fish, to...but there's not alot to talk about.

Science Expo is FINALLY Over!

Wow! The science expo is finally over. I am soo glad. Of course, we didn't win anything, but we got an A! I am sooo very happy it's over. With that AND math, geography, and lang. arts homework, I was very stressed. Not as much as I am now with poor little PBD in the hospital. Still, I am glad it's over!

Preston in the Hospital - Day 2

Preston is still in the hospital. He has namonia [how ever you spell that], and is in a drug induced coma. He has a lot of IVs to keep him asleep, because he has tubes going all over the place.

I ask for anyone who is reading this to please pray for him. He's the best little brother you could ever ask for. I love him sooo much...and all I want is for him to come home.

I've never realized how mean and selfish I actually am to him until now. We always fight about the stupidest things. What we watch on TV, video games, which chair we get to sit in. It's soo stupid.

I know god's watching over him. The doctors said he will be okay. But they aren't sure if he'll have to wait days...or weeks, even, to come home.

Please please please please please pray. God can do anything.

Science Expo Preporations

It took for ever to complete our science expo project! My best friend, Priya, and I, did tests on the effect of music on test scores. We used a country song, a hip-hop song, and a jazz song to see which one affected the reading, math, and memorization test the most. We finally finished it today, and the expo is tomorrow! So that's good that we finished. I hope we get a good grade on it. We have to present it to judges...I doubt we win, but I atleast want a B.

Brother In The Hospital

My brother has had Asthma since he was really little. He's only been in the hospital twice for it...when they diognosed him with it, and when he had a bad attack. This time, it was his worst attack ever that did it. Today, 2/18/09, I woke up to find my mom gone, my brother, Preston, gone, and my dad telling me I was staying home because he was already in the hospital. They say it's really bad this time.

When I talked to my mom again, she said they had knocked him out so that they could put tubes down his throat. My dad is gonna come home, so that I can go to school tomorrow. My mom is gonna stay with him. I wish I could be there. Or at least see him once. But, since I have a cold, they don't want him to get any worse. He has a cold....that was messing with his asthma.
